About Rotaract


A Rotaract club is more than a club in the service of society. It is part of a global effort to bring peace and international understanding. This experience begins at the local level, but at the same time there are limits to its distribution. Each Rotaract club was created in community service sponsored by the respective Rotary Club, a member of Rotary International (the global association involving himself more than 26,000 Rotary clubs). This Rotaract Club is part of an international network of more than 8000 Rotaract club and plays an important role in it. The purpose of Rotaract is to provide an opportunity for young people (aged 18 to 30 years) to enhance the knowledge and skills needed on a personal level, to address the physical and social needs of their communities and to help implementation of better contacts between people in the world through a network built on the basis of friendship and community service.

 

Goals of Rotaract

- To develop professional and leadership skills.

- To emphasize respect for the rights of others, based on recognition of the value of each individual.

- To recognize the dignity and value of all useful occupations as opportunities for service to society.

- To recognize and promote ethical standards as leadership qualities and vocational responsibilities.

- To introduce and raise awareness of the needs, problems and opportunities, both locally and globally.

- To provide opportunities for personal and group activities to serve the community and promote international understanding and goodwill to all men.

 

What does Rotaract?

Rotaract clubs organize a variety of projects, the nature of which depends primarily on the interests of club members. Basically there are three main areas of activity in the Rotaract program, all clubs develop in varying degrees:

  • Developing leadership skills
  • Developing projects on club activities
  • Developing international activities
  • These guidelines in their entirety ensure a balanced club program, provide important experience and opportunities for individual development of each Rotaractor.

 

Developing leadership skills

The purpose of this line of business is not only to make the club members more effective leaders, but also to train them to develop and maintain strong clubs with effective projects. This training develops techniques - through which the Rotaract program to reach potential members.

Professional Development

The activity in this area should broaden the knowledge of members' conditions of employment and business opportunities in the community. Thus emphasizes the role of each Rotaractor in economic development locally and focus on how skills developed during the service for the benefit of society, and contribute to solving problems in the workplace. Each Rotaract club should provide professional development opportunities to its membersby specialized forums and seminars on management and marketing.through access to the latest innovations in the field of business.through conferences on matters of business and professional ethics.by presenting the options for financing and lending at the start of business.

Rotarians who participate in professional development projects can provide information on how to start a business, as well as various professional challenges. Through such joint projects Rotaractors have the opportunity to get better acquainted with Rotarians from the sponsoring Rotary club. Developing projects on club activities.

These projects aim to improve the quality of life both locally and internationally. In carrying out their Rotaract clubs have access to a variety of sources that may increase the funding of projects and expand the influence of the club around the world.
